Nutrition and weight loss how important is it? It is critical because it leads to all kinds of health issues with one of them being obesity. There are millions of people that need to lose weight and because of that they are putting themselves at risk.
Nutrition and Weight Loss is so important it is a matter of life and death is that important enough? In this country we do not have a health care system but a sick care system. What do I mean by that? Our system of taking care of people’s health does not start until they become sick or are hospitalized. A health care system should take care of one’s health that is help people maintain their health or keep them healthy. Which do you think we have? Let me say this before I sign off here today. I am not against doctors, nurses or hospitals but do we believe we have the cart before the horse. One of the most important things a person can do for their health is to not be overweight. It is at epidemic numbers and increasing on a daily basis. It leads to so many other diseases and just overall health problems.
It is now impacting school age children. That is a very difficult situation because if as a child they are having weight concerns then they could have a lifetime of health issues ahead of them. Not necessary and preventable.

Why is it such a challenge to get the nutrition we need?
Why is it such a challenge to get the nutrition we need? Everywhere we look now days there is something about nutrition, supplements and health awareness is at an all time high. You turn on the television and those wanting to be the next President were talking about health care in this country. We simply do not get the proper nutrition in our foods anymore and that leads to a lot of health problems with one of them being people who are overweight.
Do you realize how big of a problem weight is for millions of Americans? Half of all people in North America make New Year’s resolutions – and the most common resolution is to lose weight. Isn't that amazing? This is something that can no longer be ignored. There are ways to lose weight but one of the things it takes is discipline and the willingness to deny yourself.
There are a lot of other factors to be considered but for someone that wants to change their life by losing weight can do it. Do you want to be there to watch your son or daughter be married? How about enjoying your grandchildren? Being overweight can and actually cuts short people's lives everyday. If you are looking for something that works it is out there.

Are you getting whole food nutrition? Part 2
The question is are we getting whole food nutrition? We are living in a world that seems to be going 100 mph. No doubt our parents tried and if you are a parent your are trying to make certain that your children are getting the proper nutrition. It all starts when we are kids, we prepare vegetables and fruits and place in front of our children but if they put up much of a fight we give in because we have already had a challenging day. So unintentionally we have set in motion what may become a life long habit. When we were children we did it and if we are not careful our children will grow up only eating what tastes good but not necessarily good for them. If we do not find a solution something has started that is very difficult to break or change.
What does this lead us to? Well take a look around. You see more people overweight today than anytime in our history. I talked with my Dad one day about this. He said when I was a kid you just did not see so many people overweight. I asked him why he thought it was. He said we use to grow our own vegetables and fruits. There wasn't a fast food restaurant on every corner. We were just a lot more active than people are today. Millions of people need to lose weight but what is actually being done about it?
There are solutions but even if you find one you have to be willing to follow it.

Are you getting whole food nutrition?
We need to be able to answer the question are we getting whole food nutrition? Today we live life at an unbelievable pace and much of our lives are passing us by. One area that is absolutely critical is our health. If we are not healthy then life really does not matter much because we are really not able to enjoy it and in reality we are spending our lives suffering or trying to get well. I am going to make a bold statement here but it is what I believe, not necessarily what you believe. Our health all starts with what we eat or don’t eat.
There is one very obvious problem this presents. You see it everywhere you go. Have you ever gone to the mall and just watched people? It seems that you see more people that need to lose weight than those who don't. It is a major problem in this country and costing every tax payer large amounts of money every year. Being overweight brings on a slew of health issues and concerns, and is one of the major contributors to rising health cost. There are answers and they are right in front of us but have to be acted upon. You need to drive by that fast food restaurant instead of going through the drive through. They have meals specially for our children and really all it is doing is teaching them bad habits. What happened to families all sitting down to home cooked meals? Weight loss is a major problem and each of us have choices to make everyday whether we will continue on or stop and actually change our lives for the better.

Whole Food Nutrition!
Whole Food Nutrition. Nutrition is the key to life.
If whole food nutrition is important and nutrition is a key to life and I believe it is we need to find out how we make it part of our lives everyday. By what method or means are we going to get the nutrition that we need? How are you going to get the fruits and vegetables you need on a daily basis. Would you like to live on average 14 years longer? I just saw this information online the other day. People who drink moderately, exercise, quit smoking and eat five servings of fruit and vegetables each day live on average 14 years longer than people who adopt none of these behaviors, researchers said. That's amazing! Here's a great question for you are you willing to implement that behavior into your life?
Who really wants to live a long life if you cannot live it healthy. This seems like a fairly new and recent revelation but I hate to admit that, the realization is how important it is what we put in our bodies and also what we don't put in. Everything we put in our mouth effects how this machine called the human body functions and heals itself. How can we expect to live a long and healthy life if we are not getting the whole food nutrition that we need? You put junk in and you effect the performance without question. Have you ever asked yourself if there is relevance between the foods you eat, getting sick and how quick you recover from illness? How about any connection between the foods you eat and your weight? Our bodies are like fine tuned machines and requires a high grade of fuel. If you are not putting the proper nutrition in your body then your body is starving for it. That causes you to eat more than you really need to because your not satisfying it. Here it is in a nutshell: The higher the quality of food we eat, the quicker we recover from disease, provided we are able to digest and assimilate properly. Plus the easier it is to maintain the proper weight.
Now days a lot of the farming is corporate farming or very large corporations involved on large scale. It is no longer the local farmer or a family that has farmed for years. No today it is about doing it on a mass scale and modifying the fruits and vegetables genetically to have more yield. It is not about producing quality of food but quantities of food and not allowing the fields to rest or change the crops every other year which results in a depletion of the soil. Today most of what we eat is pasteurized, preserved or genetically modified. Have very little if any of the vitamins and nutrients we need. I have heard statistics that indicate as high as 80% of the food has at least one genetically modified ingredient. We need living nutrition, living food, whole food nutrition that is able to provide our bodies what is needed at the cell level. If this was happening then there would not be near as many people overweight as there is.
Let me go back to a previous statement: the higher the quality of food we eat, the quicker we recover from disease. Would it be correct to reverse that and say the lower the quality of food we eat, the easier it is to get sick and the longer it takes to recover? So what is the answer? Is it eating raw fruits and vegetables, juicing? Those are great options but difficult to implement in our busy lifestyles. You want to lose weight or maintain your weight then you need to pay attention to the types of foods you are eating the most of.
So now what you ask? In my trek to find out what the options might be I happened by chance some would say but my opinion is I was directed to a family of products.

5-9 Servings of Fruits and Vegetables daily
fruits and vegetables daily
Reading that headline you might say, “There’s no way in the world anyone can eat 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables daily. It can't be done or can it? Why, I am lucky if I get in one serving a day."
I believe most of us are following the path of least resistance and there must be a lot of resistance to eating 5-9 servings a day. Even though we should be doing something does not mean we are and especially if it is difficult. We all live our lives for the most part at warp speed, no time to take care of ourselves or even stop and smell the roses, so how are we going to get the 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables we need? Plus who has the time anyway?
Just imagine the difficulty in getting those 5-9 servings of fruits and vegetables consumed, not to mention our whole family doing it on a daily basis. Perhaps you're now thinking, "I'll go buy myself a juicer, that will do it." The juicer infomercials make it look so simple, don't they? What isn't mentioned is the time involved to gather, on an ongoing basis, those fruits and vegetables. Could it be those veggies and fruits are the offspring of pesticides? And do they actually have the vitamins and minerals in them that we need? Not to mention the time involved to clean the juicer after every use. Juicing is great but not very conducive to most people’s lifestyle. So if we cannot eat 5-9 servings a day of raw fruits and vegetables and cannot juice them, what is the answer?
I came across a product that is the very next best thing that provides 30 fruits and berries, 30 greens and vegetables in each serving, plus a whole lot more. And it doesn't taste like one is licking a lawnmower.
